It came! My bed came, and it's gorgeous, and even though we ordered it way back in may, it's totally with the wait.
My step kids are here for the weekend, even though dad is gone, and Katie and I went to build a bear to build a puppy for him.
iPhone buying was not successful though, by the time I convinced her to wait in line they were out *sigh* oh well, I can try again or just wait til my preorder ships in a couple of weeks. Can I be a little kid for a moment? "But moooooomm! Everyone else has the new toy, I need one too!" Okay, done now
And finally, rather than going to the theatre to see Finding Nemo in 3d, we came back to watch it on the comfort of our own couches in our pjs and with jello. Win!

My new bed will be delivered on Friday! It's amazing how much stuff accumulates in your bedroom hen you're not paying attention. I spent part of the day cleaning it up and trying to reorganize my closet so that all of our clothes fit nicely.
Also updated my iPhone to os6. Couple of issues. It doesn't so much like wifi. I don't mind so much, I'm still lucky enough to have an unlimited data plan from Verizon, but its still annoying because my wifi is faster than cellular data. Issue two is that it killed my brothers phone. He downloaded the update and it was installing, and then it reset. And reset again. And again. And now it's in a continuous loop of reset. So off to the mall again to see if the apple geeks can fix it!
And yes, I am one of those people who has my new phone on preorder *geek*

Today was mostly good. Did some running around with Alex, played with Squid. The usual. Then this evening my back decided it was going to be a bad day, and turned things up to 11.

this, is my Squid. she's adorable, and she knows it too. she's also quite the ham when she thinks there will be a treat or some snuggles involved!
My husband of too short a time has been sent off to Switzerland for work for a few months, and I'm left at home with the furries. This has led me to the realization that I have no friends who live nearby (could be due to the fact that I moved and am completely hopeless at making friends because I'm a stay at home step mom to two teenagers).
