ahh yeah. all done school and back to work in the world of commercials. missed the people, missed the money, but not so much the work.
we're heading to nyc in a few weeks to see my sister. i'm starting to miss paris a lot too. so i think a trip there will be needed very soon as well.

well, almost another year completed at sfu. feels like this degree will never end. thank god the summer is almost here though. hiking, meatless bbqs, strongbow and the new little lady are all in order for the four months off i have. plus, in june i get to take her to see my sister in nyc. meeting family and all, biiiig moments, heh.

thanksgiving was just what i needed. hanging out with family is pure bliss. my favorite thing about the weekend was hearing stories told from my grandparents. so much history and so much pride. beautiful really.
another great memory from this trip back home was that my father bestowed on me a few antique maps which i have wanted. the one i was really after was one from 1629 of poland. it is written in latin of course and unless you know your geography pretty well, you would have no idea it was actually poland back then. pretty cool stuff. the others i was given was one from 1679 of scotland, and another of france from 1745. i so love looking at antique maps. i like to imagine what it would be like in the lands back at those times. so much war, so much politics and so much change.....hmmm, seems to be quite a bit like today though hey? funny how that works....

being back at university these days is becoming quite the drag at times. i completely forgot how much school just is not fun when the momentum is gone. i for one...with 100% certainty, can say that the momentum for being back is gone.
this past week i have been at school for 7 days, 12 hours a day. we had 5 of those days to build a 1:80 architectural sketch/mass model of the ara pacis museum in rome. the general consensus in the class was....are you serious? 5 days? we now have 10 days to build a final detailed one of the same building. this is going to be the death of me. i guess i shouldn't complain, but it is just so easy to when there is a large white box gleaming on my monitor...just begging to hear all about it, heh.
besides school, life is just grand. crushes are abound, fall is here with winter fast approaching, i just am really happy about life in general these days (even with being so busy at school!)
plus thanksgiving is coming up! weee! i am heading home to calgary to see my mum and dad, plus my sister, grandma (mums side) and grandpa (dads side) are coming as well. it will be an amazing few days of family, which makes me all the more happy. oh oh, plus tofurkey! i know its processed crap, but its just so darn yummy!!!

oh ya....another reason to be happy...motorhead was last week. how can life not be grand when you get to hear great music!!!!
