Time flies by. Can't believe how long it has been since my last post.

Lots of things have happened since I last posted. In summary - aged one more year, been to a music festival, birthday parties, bought a PS3 (main reason I havent been around for a while), worked my ass off and generally wished I could have got away for a holiday this summer

Ah well, I am off to Miami in a few weeks so that is a bonus, even if it is work related, but hopefully stopping off in NYC on the way home for a couple of days which will be a bit of me time. I will hopefully get some time off in Miami too so if anyone lives there or knows the place, I need some recommendations of which bars are cool then let me know

But my PS3 is my new little baby, I got permission from T to buy one (well I am married!) and also a certificate from her to say that she wouldnt complain for a whole month (just ran out, boo) which was cool. Call of Duty 4 is awesome, as is Virtua-Fighter 4. Although the only downside is getting my ass kicked by 12 year olds on COD4 - which most of my mates also complain of!!!!

Anyhoo, off to love my PS3 more, sad I know but hey

Ah Bugger, didnt get the chance to go away last week, i was supposed to go to Nice but never got my arse in gear. I also hadnt factored how expensive it was to go away on your own - how much do you want for a single supplement???? Blimey.

It did give me the chance to catch up with some uni mates though which was cool. Since moving up here i do miss a lot of my friends in Leicester. I need to find more cool people in Notts! The worrying things about meeting up with uni mates is that they all have kids, i keep on thinking - do i want any???? I like giving them back when they start crying

T is still in San Fran, having a whale of a time - she has spent a huge amount of our cash but hopefully it does mean i will be getting some cool jeans and some wicked Bay Area Hip Hop too. It was really strange cos i have been missing her, but i have also been coping with it (i guess after 7 years of a long distance relationship, you remember how you got through it all) but then i spoke to her this morning and then all of a sudden it hit me just how much i rely on her being around these days. Sniff. Ah screw it, we did go 3 months of her living in the states and we are still together.

Only two more weeks till Big Chill, cant wait, they announced the line ups for the stages which means i am now sorting out my "Who do i want to see" list. Leonard Cohen will be interesting, Beth Orton should be good too. Buy all time "must see" is Bomb the Bass who I loved when i was a kid. If you dont know them, check out MegaBlast for some essential UK Dance Muzaq. One of them was also in She Wants Revenge who are a wicked electro/gothic-y/Joy Division band.

It has been a while again since my last post. Work has been really busy and the last thing i have been wanting to do is stare at a computer screen when i get home!!! Things have been cool recently though, been to see quite afew friends over the past few weeks which was cool. Went to a wicked Drum and Bass festival in Nottingham a few weeks ago which was wicked, look out for the Detonate Indoor Festival if you are into that king of thang, although there was loads of wicked breaks, house, dubstep and hip hop too.

Me and T are off to Big Chill Festival in August, which i am really looking forward to. We have been a few times before and is one of my all time fave festivals. Loads of random music that i have never heard of, in one of the most picturesque places. Very good food too, looking forward to having the Goat Curry again. mmmmmm. It is also the same weekend that me and the missus got together 9 years ago "GULP" and i cant believe we have been together that long. So we will sip fancy cocktails on that day

I am also hoping to on hols soon, might be going the Nice in France for a week. But on my own! T is off to San Francisco on her phd course so i have decided to go away too. Never been away on my own before but really looking forward to it. Anyone been to Nice before? Tips on where to go would be good.

DAY OFF WORK WOO HOOO! It feels like years since i was last off work, in fact I think it was Christmas and it has flown by. Not that I will be having the most relaxing few days as i have a list of chores as long as my arm to do in the house, oh married life such joys

I am off to see Soulwax this weekend though so i am really looking forward to it, especially as my mates who have been in Oz for the past year are coming up for it too so cant wait to see them again.

The running malarky is still going on, for somestupid reason i have just entered myself in a marathon in September so am now really having to start getting my arse in gear for training otherwise i will die half way around. Still keeps me fit!

I want to buy a X360 as my old xbox is just getting a bit old now and i want to be able to buy new games, still need to convince the wife that is's a good idea although she is really keen for me to buy a Wii but i have seen too many mates just stop using them once they have played it a few times - anyone else got one? Do they like them?

I am also starting to get back into my dj'ing as i have a wicked MP3 mixing desk for my laptop and started using in quite a lot, hoping to do a few sets on it and post them on myspace site as i can record them! Will let you know when they are posted on there.

Uuurrggghhh, i feel like crap! I have been coming down with a cold for god knows how many days and it is hit me (oh yes the dreaded man flu!). just spent the day at work trying to get me brain to work to no avail. I couldnt even speak properly, my new boss must think i am mental or something.

Land of Ken is quiet at the minute although i am trying to psych myself up to go out to see the Klaxons this weekend with M.A.N.D.Y but i am a bit brassic at the mo. I am off to see Soulwax though next weekend which will be wicked. My mates who have been away in Oz are coming up so it will be a double cool weekend.

I am in a clothes shopping frenzy at the minute, i have bought a million t-shirts recently, my fave is a Boba Fett t-shirt from Addict, it is the DOGS!!!! I love it! I need new jeans though i am about to wear my fave pair (almost spelt that pear - see my brain is rotting) to death and my others are a bit too small (thats why i am running). I really want some G-Star but too many Chavs wear them these days. oh hum.

Anyhoo, just a quicky i am starving an i need my Tea. Peace.

Wow it has been some time since i last did a post. Things have been pretty hectic at work and just had the joy of a service "away day" woooo, bout as much fun as pulling teeth. Things at home have been better, actually starting to see my wife again which is nice. Its strange i dont appear to be as pissed off as i was a few weeks ago with hanging out with her, it was really doing my head in that i would only see her for an hour after work and then occaisionaly at the weekend but things have chilled now so it is all good again.

Not been up to a huge amount of things other than family stuff recently, although we did have a house full of screaming kids over Easter which definately put me off having kids for at least another 5 years! IT seems really strange to see all my uni mates with kids and setltling down (yes i know i am married) but it still feels as though me and Tia are still seeing ech other and not actually married, settled down, house owners etc. I guess it's cos i can just "fuck it, let's go down the pub" where as with my mates we book things in about 6 weeks in advance!

Just had some mates come back from Australia, they have been there for about 9 months, so it will be good to see them again. They are definately my drinking buddies!

Trying to get fit at the moment, not working!! IT is not fun running your ass off, coming home and wanting to pass out! But for some reason i have just decided to enter a marathon in September in Notts (DOH) so need to start training for it now or else i will die about half way round - will be looking for sponsorship soon guys so watch this space.

Just had a wicked day at work! I finally got a success (which basically is helping a company move into the city and create jobs - thats what i do for a living), helping a major company move into notts and create over 100 jobs! Woo hoo. Definately made up for the hectic 12 months i have just had with my new job. The job is defo worth it when you get those successes, seeing companies you have helped in the city you work, know that people have been able to get better jobs, you are a nice glow in your tummy

Yet again though i am on my own, the wife is with all her mates in another city after uni, i saw her briefly for a few hours yesterday after her fishing trip - i will explain what all that is about some other time! So chilling out with the laptop, my two rats staring at me wondering where there mummy is. They are cool although i wish they would stop chewing the bloody furniture

As you can tell with my profile message, music is my life. I have been really strugglin to find some decent new stuff. i can tell i am getting old cos i keep on saying "pah, they did this better in my day" or "dont they just sound like (blank)" all the time. It worries me cos i dont feel old but when you are getting bands that sound like the Madchester era it makes you think! Anyway, i am finding some cool stuff these days - def getting into my DFA/electro/Rapture/indie-electro stuff, yes i know it sounds like a lot of early 80's stuff, but that wasnt my era for music - therefore i can justify it (just). Hopefully i will be getting my first dj'in gig since i moved here, in a hairdressers ? Yeh, i thought it was wierd too but a cool hairdressers in Notts (18 for those that live here) have dj's on saturdays so i will be going down do my electro thang. Watch this space for how that goes.

Just spending the usual Sat night in, chilling out listening to some awseome electro i just downloaded off someone on Facebook (that thing is evil, although i can see this going that way too, my life is now being sucked into a virtual world!).

My missus is off fishing, yep fishing, my mates are all being boring and no one is up for a pint which is another reason why i am sat here on mt todd

Just gone and applied to be part of the UKSG Group so hopefully that will be accepted as i feel i need to find more kindred spirits in the area!
