Daredevil is going to suck, sure, but it's not just because of what Bullseye looks like. I've already got my "Ben Affleck fucked this movie up beyond all belief" speech ready.
And no, I don't know why I'm replying to someone's comment in your journal.

But I'll continue the randomness by replying to a comment you made in my journal a while back about Dr. Doom.
Anyway: Dr. Doom is pretty much like most leaders in history. He doesn't really care about his people. He sees them more as his property than his responsibility. And that's the real reason he "protects" them. To him, killing/injuring his people would, to you, be like if someone stole your, say, vacuum cleaner. (The actual object is unimportant and easily replaced, but it's the fact that the act itself was against you which makes it intolerable.)
I've got a couple comics where Dr. Doom kills his subjects just because they tell him something he doesn't want to hear. Which isn't unlike what's going on right now. In this country.

You make valid points. Maybe I'm just biased towards the more benevolent characterizations of Vic in some comics, so I'll write off the incidents you mention as the work of Doombots.

Bullseye looks bad, but I'm hoping there's something there that works...Colin wouldn't have taken the part if there wasn't something of substance to it, no? (I seem to vaguely recall thinking the same thing about Tommy Lee Jones and Two Face...so maybe Daredevil really will suck.)

At least it can't be ALL bad with Joe Pantoliano in it.
