Wow two days in a row of have you ever journal entries this is so unlike me.
So have you ever waited until late at night, until it is really dark outside to take a shower? But for this shower you never turn on the lights, you take it in total darkness. The way I figure it, perfect black is as close as you can ever be to blind in your lifetime. And I am sure everyone has heard that when one of your senses is damaged the others become more acute to take its place. Well in a shower your body is being constantly stimulated from everywhere. Water, hot or cold, runs over your face and down your body. Simultaneously the sound of water moving and the clean smell, that should be associated with showering, follows the water to the floor. Anyway, for me a shower is the perfect place to think, even under normal conditions, but it the dark the sensory stimulus that is created makes for an even more inspiring session of meditation and or deep introspection of myself. It is actually really nice you should try it sometime if you dont believe me. Well unless you have current access to perfect black and rain, I just live in Arizona so it never rains when I want it to so I use the shower as a substitute.
Now for all of you who are reading this thinking, wow what a weirdo. All I can say is, Yes perhaps I am but I dont mind and if it will make me any more normal my next favorite method of meditation is going out on the roof under the stars with a candle, paper, pen, and a pillow (because roofing pebbles dont feels good on the skin) and there is just something about being between the candle and the dark that is quite inspiring to me.
Ok ok maybe I am weird but its me so there you have it another peak into the mind of Kaji
Goodnight all

I'm a fraction away from being legally blind, so the thought of experiencing complete blindness scares the living shit out of me.
