I appear to have abandoned this thing, which isn't saying much as I just got here. After law exams there was the flurry of journal applications, as well as a few other things going on. I've also started a new blog that I'm really excited about, as I find I always have something to say:

http://alesbianandascholar.wordpress.com

I'm still doing my foodblog as well, for any SG folks who are vegetarians:

I just made fried green tomatoes, and as big as a pain in the ass as they can be, they really do taste amazing. I miss Southern cooking almost as much as I miss the beach and surfing. Just applied to GGO (thanks for the suggestion, Dusti!) so I'm looking forward to getting in touch with some fellow queer gals on here. No offence, boys, but I have to approach your friend requests with a health amount of suspicion.

I must say, I think a lot of the eroticism of these photos is lost when all the models are entirely clean-shaven. I understand the appeal of it, but especially with straight-on shots of the torso with the shaven vulva, there's just no sexiness there. Intellectually, I can say oh, she's gorgeous, but there's none of that delicious naughtiness of seeing a person naked. It's kind of like looking at Barbie. I know shaving/waxing is a personal preference, and more power to those who prefer it. It's just not for me.

Nevermind. The water set is back. La vie est belle encore.

Looking at porn during Con Law makes the day go by quicker.

Jesus, I can't believe I'm doing this again, but I can't help it. I like looking at pretty girls, even if they did stop doing kinky photos - fuck you, Attorney General. Really.

If anyone is reading this and can help me figure out how to delete old photo galleries, change which photo is my default, and delete old blog posts, I would really appreciate it. I would rather not be confronted by my college self every time I log in. Thanks!

I'm baaaaack.

The $29/year deal was too good to resist, I admit. And I love the new iPod video feature.

So now I'm working at the desk at an ungodly hour, looking at pictures of naked women, listening to Shirley Manson, and trying to ignore the fact that I'm pretty sure there is a mouse sitting behind a cart next to my feet.

Is anyone on this bloody thing from Charleston (SC) or Cork? I'd love to meet people in my new homes...

Bah, allergy season. I'm going to start wheezing soon, and I haven't gotten an inhalor yet.

So the weekend in North Carolina was a much needed break, but now I'm back to writing papers and other such fun. Tomorrow there's a Russian Bake Sale, which will be kind of a nice change for lunch, and I hope I can get a fair amount of work done this weekend, especially before Passover starts and I get bitchy. Oy, macaroons and matzoh for a week. Fun times.

There's this scene in Eternal Sunshine that is very personal to me. It's a memory in which the two main characters are hiding out underneath the covers, so that all you can see is the two of them in that odd orange under-the-cover glow, and then they're kissing, and it's just the most beautiful scene I've seen in a long time. When I was a little kid, I used to love to make a little tent with my covers, and I could hide all alone in my own little world, where the lighting was surreal and the whole world was just an illusion. And that is possibly the most personal thing I've ever shared in such a forum as this, but I've been feeling oddly introspective this evening, and I think it's a good thing.

Just a thought I wanted to leave you with before slinking off to bed. Sweet dreams, everyone!

Bought too much food again. This time it was at P.F. Chang's, Chinese Food Land of Wonderfulness. I had Crab Wontons and Honey Crispy Chicken, and it was worth every one of the $17 I paid for it. Good news is, my hand knitted armbands are selling well and the money I was owed is finally coming back to me. Thank God.

Also tonight, I went to Mark's and got the remainder of my stuff. His parents were really nice and hugged me and all. He's being a bitch to like everyone in the world, it seems, but I don't have to deal with it for once. Ha. Sooo excited about going home Thursday. Clunk's transmission has been acting up, but hopefully he'll be okay for the ride down to good 'ole North Cackalacka.

My roomate calls me a lioness because apparently they sleep 22 hours a day. Eat, sleep, and mate. Sound good to me.

Yesterday, I took a three hour nap in the middle of the day. This evening, I was lying in bed and fell asleep with my computer in my lap. I hope the radiation isn't going to give me cervical cancer or something.

Tomorrow, going to Mark's place to get all my shit once and for all, and also to Party City for glow sticks. Because everyone should own a glow stick.

So my ex boyfriend (we went out for a year and a half and I broke up with him about three weeks ago) has been posting on his LiveJournal that he "still has to figure out what to do with Judith's shit in my basement. Any suggestions?" And people have been saying things like "sell it back to her at double the cost," "burn it," etc. I don't know why this irks me so, but I find it rather childish. If he's annoyed about it, he could come to me directly. He said he wanted to be friends, but whenever I smile at him in the dining hall or something, he just stares, and then complains to my roomate that I'm not friendly enough. What the fuck? Anyway, I've emailed his parents about getting the stuff at a time that's convenient for him, so he can just go fuck himself. Oy!

In other news, I just slept away most of the afternoon. I feel kind of odd, having no real grasp on time. And I need to get some work done, but it's such a beautiful day out!
