This wee beastie is a monster from a psychological horror game my company has been making. It's been mostly a labor of love because finding funding for indie is tough, especially when you're developing a single player narrative type game (multiplayer often fares better). Thus, we take odd art production gigs and interactive design gigs to sort of keep the lights on and fund our own IPs until we can develop them enough to take to pitch meetings with publishers or investors (or just ultimately finish ourselves). Strangely enough, I can't walk more than 2 steps without someone asking if we want to do NFTs...or offering starting cash for a blockchain game. So we joked about minting a bunch of NFTs based around our game's monsters and I went to town rendering from Marmoset then doing some fun glitchy shit in After Effects to make our own sort of faux NFT videos. I dunno...I have tons of reservations about NFT, and I'm incredibly skeptical BUT I am on a metaverse project that is doing just that but in the realm of sex tech, teledildonics and remote/virtual sexuality. In that way it's sort of a test or trial run to see how that does before maybe doing it for ourselves? In any event it was fun making this, but what do you think? Should I mint the full video as a NFT? Would you buy a collection of unique and strange monsters?
