Belief? Religion? Philosophy? Einstein sets it straight
Category: Religion and Philosophy
I am not one to argue with a known genius, but I believe that Albert Einstein sets me pretty straight on the topic with this quote of his and it really makes alot of sense:
"A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeeded be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death."
I realize that religion is a very controversial topic, but if I was going to bring it up, I couldn't have done it better than to have himself
to take the quote from
Now onto other things, it wouldn't be the same, if I did not counter the above without having another quote from my favorite science fiction author
"In the absence of clearly-defined goals, we become strangely loyal to performing daily trivia until ultimately we become enslaved by it. "Robert Heinlein
