I enjoyed Kick Ass all the way up to the ending. The jetpack was over the top. They could have stuck to the ending from the comic-book without modification and the movie would have ended better. I felt that as soon as he started flying around and shooting gatling guns, the movie turned into the very thing it had been parodying.

Definitely my biggest complaint too, and that of everyone else that I've talked to. The jetpack was ridiculous.
