Last night Andy took Stitch for a walk to Cumbies while I left for work. She returned home, and all was well.
When I can home, she was all excited to see me. I went and checked the pile of newspaper and there was nothing there.
So I knew she had to go. I got her leash. Well, the excitement of getting seeing her leash must've made her have to go...
She went back to the paper and went.
I bought her a crate today. She got accustomed to it quick, taking naps in it etc.
So I turned off my lights, played some low music, and left quietly.
She whined for a few. I went downstairs. 2 minutes go by...and she starts BARKING loudly.
Tomorrow the bark collar comes in. If that does not work...
I may have to get rid of her.
I can't have her barking up a storm while I am gone. Kevin will get pissed, and since he is in charge of the building, that is not good. Plus, with Tim upstairs, he'll just kill her.
I don't want to get rid of my dog. Fuck, I've had her less than a week...
I am already attached to her.
I am NOT bringing her back to the pound either. That is just NOT happening.
This is the part where everyone says "I fucking told you so."
Go ahead. I'm used to it.
Like I said, we'll try the bark control collar. If that works, then she can stay in the crate while I am at work. Dogs have a natural instinct NOT to shit where they sleep, so she will hold it. When I get home in the mornings I'll take her out. That will get her on a schedule.
Let us pray the bark collar works. If it does, the rest will be cake.
