so i don't normally adhere to the notion of "new years resolutions"...not because i never stick with them, but mostly because i'm just not into them and never have made any. i guess until now. one thing i'm trying this year is a refocus on myself. i've decided to do things that would increase my happiness. that's not to say that i'm going now be a selfish person, because one of the things i enjoy most is being available to my friends and family should they need to call upon me. what i mean to say is that from the unimportant to the meaningful, i want to make sure that i just live and do things this year. whether that be seeing all the movies i want to see in the theaters to refocusing on my ultimate goal of becoming a published writer, and all that lies in between.

one of those in between things being dating and relationships. last year there were a number of debacles, one of those spending too much money on a dating website which resulted in no dates, but also failing at meeting anyone on my own. so one of the first steps this year is trying the "let's date" app that i heard about from this website. and my fingers are unusually crossed...lets see what happens next
