Honest Abe Vampire Slayer Movie Review

I read the book Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter earlier this year. The story is an entertaining spin on the secret life of one the greatest presidents ever. I had semi-high expectations for the film, but based on the Hunger Games movie I knew to lower them before seeing the movie. If you have read the book you'll definately notice that the movie has changed certain aspects of book for film purposes. These changes do not take away from enjoying the film for what it is, a great summer movie. Much like the Harry Potter film series, some changes from book to screen need to happen in order to fit the 2 hour window. The movie is full of action scenes and the actor playing Lincoln does a good job. Its a little CG heavy at times but its still fun. You do not have to read the book to see the movie but I would definately recommend reading the book when you have time. I'd give the movie out of four.
