Sad times.

Today, after a good 6 months or so of listening only to the left channel of music from my ipod... I have replaced it.

It was my first ipod... a christmas gift from my parents and a fitting replacement to the growing collection of mp3 cds and dvds I had to cart around with me. I named it "Littlest Hobo" and it showed...

I had to replace my iPod, too. The old one just bricked up on me. However, I didn't have a great deal of emotional attachment to it, either. I just like the fact that (unlike when I switched from a non-iPod to an iPod) I don't have to reformat everything to put it on the new one. Just plug in the new hardware and off you go. Hooray!
masquerade:
Does "Son of" have any handy new features that the old one didn't? Will you actually use any of those them? My new one does video but I don't care because I only use it for music.

Sigh.

I really need to not let myself fall behind on web comics.Especially ones as good as sinfest. If you haven't read it... please do so. I definately wasted 3 hours of my life today doing so and, honestly, I don't regret it.

It just makes me feel good when I see something like this.

SO it's not wasting smile

Well, another choir tour has come and gone and I survived. In fact, I would argue that (for me) it was the least sorrow-filled one ever which is a rather good thing. Never two nights without a shower and no major fights. Was called a douchebag by the president during announcements one day and kinda made an exec cry on another but, for me, a...

I really, really like Smash Bros.

JigglyPuff, despite rumours, is in fact a playable character in the game. This brings me more joy than you can imagine.

Don't judge me.

Been going through the mix that was left at my house at my birthday (in Feb) and playing "is this straight or pre-mixed. Results seem to suggest pre-mixing in the 2L pop bottle is something...

I got my bass back. It isn't perfect but it looks as good as it did new so I'm rather happy. I have no idea how he managed to close that gap in a seamless manner but I'm glad he could. I definately missed it, though perhaps not enough to refer to it by a nickname or a gendered pronoun. Still though, hanging out with...

I have now been 25 for a few days. Nothing really new or major... had a party which was decent.

Hopefully the people that came enjoyed themselves.

I need to replace some drywall.

For the most part things have been improving with time but I still have a lot of work to do I guess

I suspected it was something like that, but I'm curious as to why they never leave a message. Or stay on the line long enough for me to answer.

Yeah... ours is two blocks away. Laziness is a really shitty excuse.

I finished my first day of work at the new job today. It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be and, all said and done, I have a reasonable amount of space to work. My cubically-contained mind continues to wish there were some physical barriers defining my space but the people seem cool and that is the most important thing to me.

I...

So, I just finished reading the last of the "Sword of Truth" series. More than a bit epic, for me. Back in the day I picked books exclusively based on size. "Wizard's First Rule" was a very thick book so it met my prerequisites. I enjoyed the story; it had dragons and magic and characters I cared about.

The second book was likewise quite delightful...

Well it will most likely end up being a series of marathons. I don't think we could possibly fit all those movies in one day.

So then. New years. Not a bad party... great drinks at good prices and a great bunch of people. Loved the party even though I am still uncomfortable with what it represents...

which led to me being awake at 5:30 am today. Generally I've been able to say things have gotten better each year... this year ended on such a down note I really wasn't...

fair enough.

and that does suck.

but I'm sure you'll find something soon enough.

think of it more as a good change for a fresh/new start.

haha thanks, I hope it goes well too. No worries, pretty much everyone I talked to has the same dazed feeling. The feeling at the office is 'cautious optimism'.

I really, really dislike interviews. I guess the point is to come out with a clear understanding of where you sit and what you have that you can offer the company. In that way I go into them understanding that I'm probably going to come out at least a bit shaken.

It never seems to stop sucking though. I swear the biggest reason I wish...

I get bored easily. And when bored, I sometimes number-crunch. Through this I found out the equally amusing facts that 2000 was a day before the longest night of the year, and 3000 is the day before my 34th birthday. For a depressing factoid, I find that neat.

Yep. smile There's a different actress playing Willow. I'm glad she was replaced.

So, we all get spam. Penny stocks and Viagra being the most common in my inbox and this was at the bottom of an otherwise regular penny stock ad.

Submitted for your wtf:

I showed him all the documentation, all the emails, and the reports that I've written. For example, working at the FDA, is their pay somehow based on how many drugs they approve?...

I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. The day started off well... a respectible pre-concert rehearsal with a perk of a lunchtime Orange Julius. After arriving home the eve was tarnished slightly by a less respectible 320 dollar bill for replacing a water pump in my car (which currently leaks all the coolant it has in under one work day). I went...
