woohoo! i finally got my international money transfer, but only after managing to overdraw my account by 30 bucks which ended up charging me another 60 in overdraft fees.
aaand i might have a job soon. and there's lots of gardening to do. we're getting a refrigerator this weekend, so we don't have to forage for food everyday. see, grocery shopping is problematic for me,...

i dub these past two weeks, the weeks of sloth. but, the way i figure it, i'm actually still on paid vacation from the korean job. actually, technically i am employed right now, as i sit in my jammies typing on a semi-porn site. but then again, i used to do that at work anyway. just no jammies. then it was "business casual".

i've been...

how is the begining of serious week going?
good luck
politrix:
HAHA... i love the pic. I immediately had this weird question only partially form inside my tired little head on whether or not that look would cause a sense of bewilderment in the ROK Classrooms. (Is teacher of Englishes ability for hair that is bright an "I'm ok" thing allowed?)

Anyhow, good luck on the neighborhood exploration. Make sure you stretch properly before shaking it. There's nothing more tragic than a permanently dislocated ass.

Peace.

whoah, time to update ye olde journal.

life is strange back on the west siiiiiiide. it's odd living in a house, that is now my home, but doesn't really feel like my home yet. i don't understand the stereo. i put the forks back in the wrong drawer. i bump into things in the dark. plus, i have a terrible sense of direction, and need...

sooooo.... gimme some practice. trouble me, disturb me with all your cares and worries. well, or just ask me for some wack-ass advice on something, and i'll either horrify, offend,...

[ blurry, messy hair photo #2]
i am done. today i unoffically finished my job. i hiked to class in the snow, and only one woman showed up. my other student had phoned earlier to tell me that she wouldn't be in the rest of the week. well, student #2 decided that she would take the rest of the week off as well.

You lie, you will always remember your journeys out to the distance asian land. it will forever be engraved in my brain as the place where i finally gained some sense of motivation and self understanding that only solitude and boredom can bring. Dont you love trying to pack everything in a tight spot? It makes you realize how much you really need to live and in the spur of the moment, what you can toss out that you couldnt in 3 years (or two in your case) of living. Materials arent us.
60ftqueenie:
hmmm I'd pack some books, my cd wallet and discman... clothes.. and thats it... photos... having to think about this has made me realise how much I have detached myself from material things... whata relief!

yurippitys:
Yeah I got stuck in that blizzard yesterday too. It was freaking ridiculous. My thin ass almost got knocked over. See I would THINK that by being thin I would have less surface area and the wind would just blow around me but noooo. Not to mention I cut my foot on a piece of glass drunk as a skunk on Friday night so I was wearing sandals. All for some taco bell. God our priorities are screwed up.

time for a new entry. lessee, this weekend i went to seoul to do last minute shopping in insadong before i leave in 1 week(!) not much to tell... however, i did have a particularly interesting 20 minutes;
i was crossing the street, had looked both ways when suddenly a guy on a scooter/motorcycle thing comes tearing around the corner at breakneck speed- headed straight...
