makes me sad: Poverty, sickness, death, and people who are too self-absorbed to want to do anything to help.
crush: Kate Beckinsale
body mods: only one tat so far -- I need to work on that!!!
fantasy: a beautiful naked girl tied up on a bed with whipped cream and chocolate sauce ready to go
i lost my virginity: in Vegas!
into: I'm a Jesus-follower, but I hate how the church at large has potrayed him -- so much so that I'm embarrased to even use the word Christian. I follow the real Christ, the one who was all about caring for the poor and reaching out to the cast-offs of society and letting them know that they are loved, not this fictional republican Jesus who hates gay people and tries to kill abortion doctors.
makes me happy: Science cafes, Disneyland, live music, and traveling the world. I'm also a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers, Notre Dame, and LA Kings fan.

So here is my first tattoo. I got it this past year at an event called Musink, which is a tattoo and music festival that the Orange County Fairgrounds. It was a very cool event, and I was very lucky to meet my tattoo artist, a guy by the name of Art Gallardo. He owns a shop in Whittier called Just Deadly. The idea behind the tattoo is that, contary to the picture the american church paints of Jesus, he is actually most concerned with his followers caring for the poor and trying to help people, not discriminate against them. I wanted to get a picture of Jesus as a homeless person holding a cardboard sign with a bible verse on it. In the story that the verse references, Jesus is addressing his followers and talks about them giving someone food who was hungry, visiting someone who was in prison, giving someone clothes who was naked, and helping someone who was sick. This particular verse says: "Then the king will say to them, whenever you did it to the least of these my brothers, you did it to me"
