So a bit of an update...

I did a remix for Bjork's song Oceania and she wound up putting it on her site for about 6 weeks. So that was pretty cool. It was a real rough version so I was surprised. You can hear it here:

And also I am now officially a published author (and this will give away my real name...

Ok, been a while since I've posted...

So, normally the music I have been doing lately is sort of that Aphex Twin-Autechre-idm-laptop sort of thing. That's my current project (I also have a couple of industrial side projects, all synth based.) Yesterday though, a friend of mine at work and I decided to start a new band purely for fun; just for the 'soul' reason...

a boy and i tried to organize an..um...orgy once on nerve.com, but it was too much work, and i gave up. plus, all we got were ten thousand male responses and one female. that's not an orgy, it's a gang bang. or whatever they call it annabelle chong style. *shudder*

i'm sorry you didn't go, woulda made for good stories, but i understand more than most about not wanting to go out.

*cue superman music*
i'm off to the pool!

The Voodoo, eh? I could see an acient gibson for this group.. like an electrified version of the one Robbie Robertson played on the last song on The Last Waltz. You know, the guitar/harp? It's totally Crowely.

In an effort to take my mind off of the general daily crap of life, I have been really getting into taking Polaroid pictures recently. I normally work in Medium Format and Digital, but Polaroid is such an immediate, almost magical experience. A great way to put a smile on my face when I'm alone and down.

Back in the 1980's, Nick Rhodes of Duran...

Well, I really need to start going to some of these SGLA events so I can finally meet everyone (especially considering their Wednesday night Burgandy Room thing is on the same street I live on about a half a mile up!)

One of the reasons I haven't made it to these gatherings yet is, besides being very busy with my music lately (and photo school),...

Nope, no Holgaroid (although I have been really tempted to buy one). I am just using and old Polaroid Land Camera 250. Got it for $80 at the Rose Bowl flea market, but I bet you could find it cheaper.

Glad you liked the pics, I had forgotten I had put them up.

I ditched work today...

I guess relaxing for one day is cool too.

your next SGLA event should be DISNEYLAND! or you could do something in the more immediate future but I think Disneyland would be fun and you should definitely go.

I've been neglecting my music lately (bad genshi, bad) but earlier today I had sort of a funny feeling and decided to do a quick little remix of the soundtrack to "Little Buddha" (the movie). Have a listen:

The Buddha Bounce

I would love to hear your opinions...

(track sounds best on headphones or really good speakers with a sub-woofer)

Thanks for listening!

i don't "do" NY like you're "supposed" to, but i still like it. i think that's a big compliment, whether it makes sense or not. when's the date, and what will we do?
