Have been checking out the city, the museums, the sites and the clubs! Stockholm is quite the happening city! Staying in a 17th century hotel in Gamla Stan (the old town), which is way cool!

Haven't updated my journal for a while--sorry about that.

Just returned from a trip to attend a friend's funeral--he had lung cancer, which seems to be going around these days . . .

It was good to see lots of old friends, many of whom asked if I would ever move back there. It is nice to now I am missed but flying into Seattle...

i haven't been to any of the scandinavia countries yet, but i went to ireland earlier this year which is where my father's family is from...

yep, that's right viking and celt. biggrin

Glad to see you back.

Hope you have fun on your trip to Scandinavia. I've never had the chance to travel outside the U.S. (yet!) so I'm always interested in hearing about other people's experiences.

The new job is going well (thanks for asking). It's getting better than it was at first. I think that I'm the oldest person that works there so I don't feel like I connect all that well with my co-workers but everyone is nice. Plus I feel so at home anytime I'm in a theater so I enjoy that.

Monterey is so beautiful... I had a blast there. I don't think I'll ever afford living there but my sister and her husband will be there a little bit longer so I'll have to find a reason to visit them sometime. It's nice that she's in the Army because the hotel on base is super cheap which makes vacationing there actually affordable. Maybe I'll check out Santa Barbara next time I'm out there.

i try to look at everything as a lesson. life would also be kind of boring if it was all butta. wink

mishou is such a storng biatch!!! LOVE HER!

ya, not a good morning but now I can laugh about since I'm not hiding under my desk with a coat wrapped around me! That was nothing compared to some of the crap that's happend to me since the fall.

If SOMEONE would get a free night we could have a beer and exchange stories! kiss

Hurray! It is FRIDAY! I am so stoked!

This was supposed to be a quiet week at work and had planned for some quality catch up time. It turned out quite the opposite and feels like it was two or three weeks rolled into one!

My calendar looks pretty free today, so I am hoping that I can get a few things done . ....

Oh, thanks so much for posting my poem!
I loved it and have thought about it a lot.

I love camping in Montana, Wyoming, SD, especially in national forests, where it's free to camp. I just got back to the area after an extended trip to these and other places, and also I love BC so much!

Thanks for the poem again and good luck with your garden.

Haven't updated my journal for a while. Surprised skirttwlr hasn't given me a hard time about that.

I just realized I am always talking about the weather on here; I can't help it--I LOVE summers in Seattle!!! This past weekend was a little on the hot side though--while it was overcast yesterday it was a nice break from the heat. Summer is back today though,...

What a beautiful weekend!

Great weather!

BBQ'd some amazing white king salmon last night and cooked up fresh chantrelles to go with it--quite the awesome combo.

Spent the early part of the week out in the islands which was also quite aweome. Nice and quiet and with great weather--it was a perfect mid-week get-a-way.

Went to the Fremont market today which was pretty happening, picked...

What a wild and crazy week! Glad that summer (weather) is back in full swing! Gotta love these days! Mt. Rainier was awesome today!!!

Can't wait for the weekend to get some chill-time. It has been early mornings through late nights this week. Although, I spent this evening in the Suzallo reading room working on a project and it was very productive. Gotta love that...

Suzallo reading room? Is that for Seattlite Executives? I've not heard nor been invited so I'm just assuming its only for the "very importan" people in the world.

Back in Seattle and glad to be.

Chi-town was great! But crowded and hot--nice to visit but I don't think I would want to live there.

Looks like the sun is coming out this morning! Heard it was drizzly and overcast this weekend. The cooler temperatures felt good when I got off the plane yesterday.

As I always say--summer is the perfect time of year...

Suppose to actually be a string of 80 degree days this week...should be nice if they aren't lying.

Glad too know your corporate jet got you back in town on time for all your important meetings this Monday morning wink

You know, some pictures of your trip would be nice Mr. Executive so those of us who get to stay in this drizzle can at least live through your exciting life.....just a thought.

Welcome back though!
kara:
you missed a GREAT show. it was so much fun! so, how was the first day back?

Greetings from Chicago!

Arrived last night and took the train into the city. Security was heavy in the tubes--saw more than half a dozen police with dogs patrolling at my stop downtown. Several of them had Belgian Shepherds which look like German Shepherds but are black--very cool dogs. All of them had wire muzzles on though frown poor dogs--they did not look comfortable.

Anyway, the city...
