So much has been happening lately. I have been performing twice a week plus rehearsals for the past few months and that is really cutting into my family time. I enjoy performing as much as I can and I hate to turn down a job, but I really need to cut back some. Performing is not my full time job and it doesn't pay my bills. I have a 8-5 Monday thru Friday job for that. Performing is just something that I love to do and the extra cash is decent. I just need to figure out a happy median between Family, Performing and Work because right now I am getting a little burned out.

So I have been in Portland,OR the last 3 days and I fucking love this town!

I am starting to feel a little better today, but tonight should be a really fun time. The band I play in is performing in a new club in Ann Arbor. This is our first time playing there and it has been a few years since we have played in Ann Arbor at all. We pulled a rehearsal together last night and put together a new song mash up. The song is a combination of the Temptations "Can't Get Next to You" and Cee Lo Green's "Fuck You". It is a blast to perform and I hope that the crowd enjoys it as much as we do.

Not to much to say today. It has been very busy where I work and is starting to wear me down a little. Luckily we have one new guy starting on Monday and another coming back to work later next week. That should free me up a little.

I haven't had a lot of time to practice lately, but I have a rehearsal on Sunday and a gig at a new club next Saturday. I am going to have to get my ass in gear next week or be worn out by the end of our second set.

Busy day today. I left the house at 7:30am and didn't get home until 9:45pm. I don't like days like this.

I did take my boys to their school tonight for a program about rain forests though and they really enjoyed that. There were some pretty cool animals there. I wish I had some pictures, but my cell phone sucks for that and I forgot my camera at home.

Watched this show tonight. It is one of my favorites lately. I had not seen this episode before. I was rolling when he tried the worm. I just couldn't stop laughing.

Well mother nature dumped a huge load on us again. I don't think that the snow shovel I bought this year is going to make it if we get any more. Last night it was snow, then freezing rain with a little more snow on top of that. It ended up making for some very interesting travel to work this morning too. Then to top it all off, it started snowing again late this afternoon. Oh man, I need a warm weather vacation right about now. There must be more on the way still, we already got a call from the schools saying that they are going to be closed tomorrow.


Uhh..... I need a drink.

Another lazy Sunday morning. I woke up too early, but at least I didn't have to do anything. Watched a little TV and listened to some music. We are under a winter storm warning right now, but there really isn't anything happening outside. Just cold.

Another nice February day in Michigan. I was able to get some cleaning done outside and in the garage.I had to fix our mailbox too since a plow truck took it out about a week ago when we got a really heavy snow. I really hope to put a heater out there next winter because I really want to be able to do work out there year round.

I have a 1973 Honda CL350 Scrambler motorcycle that I bought 2 years ago and it is in really pretty good condition. I have been riding it almost daily the past 2 summers, but it does need some new tires and I would like to restore it. It is too cold for me to work on it, but as soon as it is warm enough I want to ride it. Oh what to do.
