Well well. It's been a while since I've actually posted anything here. I'd deleted all my old blogs in a fit of self-consciousness.
Although I doubt anyone remembers anything about them, here's an update.
I'm still with my partner, Ness. We've been together since April '06. At the risk of making you all
, I love her very much. It's been a great couple of years.
I passed my black belt in sport kickboxing in December '06. I'm working towards my second degree now, and currently teach two clubs in my local area, on behalf of my instructors. They're going fairly well - it's great to be able to pass on my love of martial arts, although it can be difficult to drum up new students. Guess people feel they don't have the spare cash for it in the current economic climate. Seems the whole capitalist system is a bit shaky at the moment, and as far as I can tell, we have some rather unscrupulous American lenders to blame for it. Well done lads - don't let common sense or global market stability get in the way of profiteering. God forbid!
There's loads of other stuff going on at the moment, but for the most part I'm not in the mood to share. Having fun learning some kung-fu at the moment, and getting ready for a tournament in about a month. Currently off work, so money's tight - even more so than usual.
Still mostly going in for the goth look, although it's tough sometimes. Gothic fashion is not renowned for catering towards sporty types. Why oh why can't I have the best of both worlds?! It's just not fair... *sob*
Anyway, hope you all like the new profile pictures. There's me looking slightly forlorn, and one of me, Ness, and the family cat. Unfortunately he passed away earlier this year, end of May time. We all miss him loads.
Must remember to blather on about our hamsters and rabbit next time - if there is a next time.
