age: 40 (Sep 11, 1971)
MEMBER SINCE: July 2006
occupation: techno-weenie
makes me happy: The smell of lilacs in the spring
body mods: one tattoo. needles scare the crap out of me.
sign: "Prison in Area! DO NOT STOP."
makes me sad: people who piss in front of my house. Bad food. Bad beer.
heroes: Sewer Urchin
into: good films, live music, hi-fi photography, old movie cameras, my macs, lo-fi photography, the dog i share with my ex - she smells a bit but she's got a heart of gold (er, the dog, that is - i mean, the smell part).
gets me hot: piercings and tattoos in just the right places. an encyclopedic knowledge of indie rock. stompy ass-kickin shoes.
i lost my virginity: at some point along the way
I like monkeys. here's my first tattoo.

took me forever to grow the balls to go through with it, but i finally did it this morning. this little guy has been my IM avatar for quite a while and has seen a lot happen in the past year. he's kind of like an old friend at this point.
i had it done by Erick Lynch at Redemption Tattoo in Cambridge MA. He was great - totally cool guy, very professional, charged me less than he originally quoted, and just made the whole thing a pretty fun experience. It didn't hurt as much as i thought, but i did nearly pass out about 3/4 of the way through. what can i say? apparently i'm a pussy.
i love that it still has the look of the spraypainted graffiti stencil it's based on. i'm very happy with it despite the fact that i was tossing and turning all night, unable to sleep with anticipation/irrational fear. so, tattoo is done, my downstairs apartment is rented, my work situation has finally gone the way I want it to go. now i just need a kick ass girlfriend!
