Well here's the scoop, I got up early today at 6:30 so I could get in line to purchase the latest NY Dolls CD. I had to buy the CD in order to get a wrist band for the signing on Friday. So anyway, My bf and I arrive at around 9:00 am and there was literally 5 people in line. The website said the store opens at 9:00 which was a crock of shit, they open at 10:00. What does this mean for poor franzo? My and 5 other people had to wait in the boiling sun for an hour!! wtf. My bf being the smart guy he is brought an umbrella which totally saved our lives. So needless to say everyone in line got CD's and wristbands, I myself purchased 2 so I can bring a friend on Friday.
After that we hit up a thift store and vintage store in silverlake and went to Wacko's on Hollywood Blvd. and I saw some cool artwork including a piece by SG member mrs_misha.
Then as hunger would have it, we went to eat at Phillipe's which is super delicious. I don't eat a lot of meat but their Beef dip sandwiches are to die for and in LA that is saying something. I love dowtown LA with a passion, home to Bukowski, I could even see the old post office where Buk worked at while I ate my sandwich.
Then we drove clear across town to hit the movies with my mom. We were originally gonna' see "Lady In The Water" but it had bad reviews so we saw Pirates instead. I don't remember much of the first one but the new one is awesome!! Some old lady started talking to me about the movie in the rest room and she wouldn't let me go!! Old ladies love Johnny D. ♥
So anyway I was sweating all day in the heat (except for the movies), and I think this is the most time I've spent outdoors the whole summer and I can tell you that it sucks.
So now I have to find someone to take me to get my CD's signed on Friday or take the bus with me. Ugh, I'm too tired to figure it out now.
Now is the time that you tell me what YOU did today.

i need to take my mom to see pirates. i had to be a nerd and go see the first show at 12am on the day it came out.
i had to drag myself back to work. it sucked. i wish i was on vacation again.
I hate the summer. If I could avoid being outside for any length of time I'm happy. Although, after walking across the city in the heat, everyday I get to work I'm a sweaty mess. Ick.
I didn't see Lady in the Water because of the reviews too. Which is a shame, because I had been looking forward to it.
We only got married this past Valentine's Day, so the husband thing is still relatively new. We went to Vegas and got married by Elvis, the only proper way to do it.
Congratulations on the wrist bands! And he does yoga...hmm...that could explain why he's so insanely thin and toned.
