Lillian Maxine (Isler) Smith
"Marysville - Mrs. Lillian Maxine Isler Smith, 67, of Marysville, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1999. She was born June 30, 1932, in Follansbee, W. Va., to Ernest Jules and Kathyn Cooper Isler. She married Robert Young Smith Aug. 9, 1953, in Detroit. Mrs. Smith graduated from Redford High School in 1950 and attended Taylor University and Wayne State University, majoring in elementary education. She worked for many years with H & R Block. She later became a self-emlployed tax preparer and bookkeeper. Her children called her a research associate in child development and human relations. She was a member of Colonial Woods Missionary Church and enjoyed reading and working on crafts. She is survived by her husband, Robert; four daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick W. (Cynthia Kay) Crowe of Grand Bend, Ontario, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald J. (Diane Lynn) Krafft of Marysville, Barbara Ann Smith of Denver, and Michele Renee Johnson of Port Huron and fiance, David Glenn Hayre, of Lakeport; a son, Robert Young Smith, Jr. of Culver City, Calif.; two granddaughters, Jodi Lynn Krafft and fiance, Charles McLean, of Port Huron and Jamie Leigh Krafft of Marysville; three grandsons, Jeremy James Krafft of Port Huron, Shawn Andrew Krafft of Mount Clemens and Cory James Johnson of Port Huron; a great grandson, Cody James McLean of Port Huron; her mother, Kathryn Cooper Isler of Brighton; three sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Earl (Patricia) VanHook of Brighton, and Mr. and Mrs. James (Wanda) Turner and Mr. and Mrs. John (Kathy) Harris, all of Howell; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest J. Isler. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. today and 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10, 1999, in Colonial Woods Missionary Church, Port Huron. The Rev. Robert S. Keller will officiate."
