There are two general problems with hopefuls sets: either the photography is terrible or the model is unattractive. So you can construct a two by two box. Sets that are attractive/well shot, attractive/badly shot, unattractive/well shot, unattractive/badly shot. Today's Vandal seems to me to be an example of "unattractive/well shot." You have to say that attractive/badly shot is the best combination for the model, given that you can always get a better photographer, set, and make up job. Even the best photographer can't turn lead into gold.
