Lover's Key is the best. I always walk all the way around to the ocean facing side of the island where it's quiet.
Panther, my brother is big into kayaking and we used to go out on the rivers in VA. Never tried it in the ocean, but it's definitely on my list of things to do.

Fallonn, There is a kayaking tour in Ft. Myers. I'll get you the info on it if you want. I'm sure hes prob still around but he did have his buisness up for sale about a year ago. He does open water kayaking and over in some of the protected areas around there.

Offender is male, and I agree with you that females shouldn't have easier sentencing. I've seen a ton of cases of statutory rape where the docket details sex was consenting, but because it's between someone who is say 19 and 14 the offender is locked up for years and has to register as a sex offender. The punishment really caries from state to state. In this case the jurisdiction is a small parrish in Louisiana, and those courts are harder on drug offenders than sexual/assault offenders. It makes me crazy!
