I just got home from what can only be called an amazing date. I mean, yeah.
Mike and I have been trying to go out for like 2 weeks now, but something has always come up in order to prevent us from actually doing it, until today. He sent me a message saying that he had to go into work for a bit but would love to hang out with me when he got home if I didn't have plans. Naturally, I didn't since I seem to not like to make them too far in advance anymore and I agreed. So, he got home from work and I got dressed and I headed over to his place. I had never been there before, but it was super easy to find. He lives like one or two streets down from my church in a really easy to access part of Clifton that I spend alot of time in.
Anyways, his place was really simple, but nice and I liked that. Some wouldn't call this a date, but it kinda was. We watched The Fast and the Furious on tv and then just kept watching whatever happened to be on, minus the news. I'm not sure when, but we definitely wound up cuddling and it was nice. When we finally got bored with the tv we went and watched The 40 Year Old Virgin in his room since he had it on his computer and cuddled up on his bed. It was great. He held my hands and snuggled me and just made me all comfy and safe feeling (he has really great arms for that). As the movie came to the end, we found ourselves kissing, alot and damn if that boy isn't a mighty fine kisser. I think we must have made out and cuddled and so forth for at least an hour, but I totally lost all concept of time. When we finally decided that we really needed to calm down or things would escalate (and he respected my wishes that I didn't want them to without even questioning me) we realized that it had gotten very late and took a nap.
When we woke up, namely because I had to get the car home so my mom would be able to get to work and he had to go into work, we chilled a bit to wake up and he got a shower. When I was leaving his place and he was heading out for work, he walked me down to my car with a flashlight on the stairs since it was dark. He walked me all the way to my car door, it was sooo sweet, and then he hugged me and kissed me goodbye. *le sigh* This was only made better because his car was parked around on the opposite side of the building so he had to go out of his way to walk me to my car. Oh man.
I'm sorry, I'm mushy. I think I now have two crushes at once and that's more than I've had at least in the last year total. People ask me why my facebook says my relationship status is "It's Complicated" but I think the fact that I'm dating multiple people and really like two of them at the moment explains it all. I'm not willing to sit down and committ to just one of them yet because I don't think I ready or at that point with any of them, but after tonight, there are definitely two of them who I could see it happening with. I just hope one of them turns out to feel the same way.

So what I truly believe is that along with more money and police and prisons, what we most need more of is love. This is not being simplistic; it's the very heart of the issue." -John Douglas, the FBI's first real psychological profiler and my personal role model.
