Can you believe this shit?! It's not even Thanksgiving yet. SNOW. Here you go. The view from the living room window:
I've refused to scrape the ice off of my car. In fact, in refusing that, I've refused to use my car altogether. I'm holding out for the random warm day that's going to come along and melt this nonsense until a more appropriately winterish date.
The only nice thing that's come out of this is a lot of ice cream. Since I was a kid, my mother, sisters and I have always made an ice cream date when it first snows deep enough to track a cat. In fact, it's the only time during the year that we go out for an ice cream. This snow was just deep enough. I had yellow cake flavored ice cream. It was delicious.
While on our ice cream date, my sister Ellen was recalling the day about five winter's ago that she was a freshman in college and had received a voicemail from the littlest sis, Elise, that was a really eerie, "TRAAAAAACK A CAAAAAAAT!!!!" and nothing else. Elise was nine. She doesn't remember this. Unfortunately, Ellen can never forget.
