I am not leaving as scheduled for the Peace Corps.
Because I tore my ACL, knee cartilage, and sprained another ligament.
I had surgery on Monday, Aug 31st. I had to have a cadaver surgery which means they took an Achilles tendon from a cadaver and doubled it up and made it my new ACL. They keep the donor anonymous which is a shame because I'm totally into stuff like that and would love to have sent flowers. Maybe this person was an awesome dancer and I'll inherit some skills?
For now though I can't walk and am taking pain killers.
The Peace Corps thing was very depressing at first but you can't dwell over these things. I will sign up again as soon as I'm able. These things happen for a reason.
In the mean time I need to find a big, dirty, hair, tattooed boy to distract me from my pain.
