Finally got all the necessary forms turned into all the necessary bureaucracies and have opened the Dark Clown Studios store! We only are selling our base t-shirt right now through a partnership with Laser Diagnostix, a local screen printer who does a great job for us!

Made some technical changes to the Dark Clown Studios website and got a friendly URL for the Facebook page at Dark Clown Studios Facebook Page so things are moving along.

Now to work on the mini-preview while we wait for our sales tax id so we can start the store. Won't be much out there yet, just our t-shirt.

Got the Flash site and non-Flash site set up and my buddy set up the Dark Clown Studios Facebook page. Next up is getting the t-shirts set for sell online and continuing work on the mini-preview issue. Still lots to do...

Finally got the preloading working adequately on the Dark Clown Studios website and went back to optimize the Flash files to make for quicker loading. Next up is working out the details on our t-shirts so we can get them online. I also got the non-Flash site up as well so now it's full steam ahead on the mini preview issue! Hope to have that done by the end of the year...

We have launched the new website Dark Clown Studios and hope you have a chance to check it out. Obviously it is home-grown and I still have some work to do on preloading the flash files.

But at least we have it out there now, which is the first step...

And I got to dress up in my grim reaper costume, so that is a plus!

Finally got my Rosetta Stone software to work! Now for the scary part, actually trying to learn another language! I tried to learn Latin in high school, and had a working knowledge of Spanish when I lived in California and managed a restaurant, but now I want to actually learn a language from the ground up.

I am starting with Spanish. That definitely seems the most reasonable and practical. This software is pretty cool. In just a few minutes I've got a grasp of a few nouns and verbs. It uses a group of pictures, says a phrase, and you have to choose the correct picture for the phrase. Better than the rote memorization that I recall from my earlier forays into languages...

This software has Arabic, Welsh, Danish, German, Spanish, French, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Swedish, and Turkish. And that is just on one DVD. I haven't loaded the other DVD yet but it is packed with more languages.

Maybe I will actually break that English-only stereotype that most of us Americans have. Worth a shot!
