I got a fortune cookie awhile back. the fortune inside said, "The only real success in life... is living it your own way."
I kept it. I believe it.
i see so many people, just completely unhappy with their "shitty" lives. people performing jobs that they have no passion for. looking at their lives and saying how much they suck or how their education, their degrees or anything is useless.
i just have a hard time figuring why people settle. okay, i know the sob story of needing money. i barely make my bills some months... i know all about it. but i think that if your soul is in it, then do it. at all costs. i would rather be hungry and happy with my life than full on outback steakhouse and miserable with my life. and damn i would love to settle down in front of a steak. but, as a couple of you may know, you can settle down in front of some 4.50 chinese takeout... and call it steak.
Be passionate about what you do. if you arent, do something else. do what you love. find your happy place. life isnt all midgets and squirrels. but if you let it be crap in a handbasket... well you have nobody to blame but you. i dont care what and where you have come from, you have the ability and the right to take your passion and your soul and live it.
