I've no idea what's going on at the moment or where I'll end up living. All I know is that soon my folks are going to be dealing with bailifs due to my fathers failing business. This means all my stuff that's in the house is at risk too! I don't really want to move the TV and consoles into to storage as that means admiting to my folks that I don't think they have a hope of getting things on track again. My only option is to try and find a new place asap, but finding something I can afford is a pain. I may have to bite the bucket and sell all my furniture and house share......sigh
On a more positive side though, I done more than just work since March when i last posted.
Trying to get back into drawing again, having a play around and starting to get top a point where I happy with some of my results.
I went to Reading Festival for the 7th year in a row with 0utlaw. Mainly just to see The National but there were a few other bands that were worth watching. Plus there was plenty of drunken antics, coupled with some gut wrenching emotions thanks to the mixture of friends present.
Back in July I went on an amazing road trip with my good friend Jackie. We basically headed north with no clear idea of where we were going to stay or what we wanted to do. We visited York for a night and eventually ended up in Scotland where we tore around Edinburgh and the highlands without a care for four days.
That's all. Who knows I might post again in the near furture (but I doubt it'll be that soon)
To sum it up not everything mentioned in posts now past has come to light in exactly the way I wanted. Got the car but it cost me a small fortune meaning I coldn't move into a new place after moving pubs. I've been holed up at my folks for a while but it looks like my insurance will drop soon meaning I can relocate to the fine city of St Albans where I work.
On the work front that's a bit of a head fuck too. Now that I'm in a venue thats much higher profile within the company than my previous one. I'm finding that I'm not as good at what I do than I thought. The past 7-8 months have been a constant tirade of trying to show I'm capable only to be knocked down over and over. It's starting to level out so we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
On a lighter note, I bought myself a kigurumi for a charity night we're doing at work in May.....

My graphic design skills are far from what they used to be, but it does the job. Really looking forward to the event too, it's been organised by 0utlaw and hopefully it'll raise plenty of cash for the FSID.
Last week was damn skippy, I seemed to spend most of the time either working or drunk, with little time for things like sleep. Got to see plenty of friends I rarely see and had a really good laugh.
I finally get my car in a week, the wait seemed far too long but it'll be worth it. Unfortunately the car costs mean I may not be able to move into London this summer as planned. I have been offered a nice job in St.Albans though which is a short drive away, so it might be easier to get a cheap room somewhere (or heaven forbid, crash at the folks for a few months) so I can sort funds out and then move into the big smoke when my finaces are better.
It's going to be awesome, and there's the added bonus that the gig is down in Brighton, so a night out may be in order methinks.
Also, I passed my driving test last week. It's not sunk in properly yet as I'm still waiting on a car....
Mini blog over. laters

Still need to get the Buddhist counterpart on the back of my shoulder and the background which joins the two, but I need to watch my funds whilst I figure out things like cars and moving which is starting to get rather complicated.
Got to see the Fuck Buttons last night at the Koko. I've never been to an electronic based gig before, and I was blown away! It felt like being trapped inside some sort of epic sci-fi soundtrack, I definately need to see more gigs like this.

Less than a week until my 2nd driving test, I really need to pass it this time as I'm sick of working in Hemel
I got this book in the post on Monday

It came along with a bartenders bible, so I think a cocktail party is on cards when the weather brightens up a bit. Perhaps with a retro dress code?? Last time I held a cocktail party it kind of degenerated into an almighty messy drink up quite early, need to find a way to keep things a bit civil for longer (and it'll probably be the last shin dig in this flat, so I'd like not to ruin the place).
Plus April is looking pretty busy already. On top of work, there's lots of friends birthdays to try and attend, a Fuck Buttons gig and another tattoo sitting.
Good Times!

It's a work in progress, next session is all the shading. After that there will be a buddhist tattoo on my back, and a mountain range background that will join the two.
..... where did all the nice folk go???
It's not out yet, and the films website just says March for the release.
fingers crossed it'll be another little Spike Jonze masterpiece
On Monday I got to babysit a bar I really want to work in, only problem is I don't think I did a great job of it. Hopefully I'll get another crack at it though and will take at least one of my own staff with me if I can. Don't want to rant about it too much though, so I'll cut to the chase...
..working in a bar with music = awesome.
Just over a week to go until my new tattoo is started, and I'm off to see Enron a couple of days later. Looking forward to that weekend!
