Hello world of SG, my, how I've missed you.
It's currently 3:25 in the am, my macbook is down to about 54 minutes of battery life left.. meaning I have spent the past 4 hours doing the opposite of what I should have been doing - being not asleep.
I've got an early morning tomorrow, class, gruh. It is, however, the last day
My summer starts tomorrow at exactly ten to four in the afternoon.
I have four months of summer ahead of me.
I watched a terribly sad documentary in my Women's Studies class today, about Globalization.
It's really opened my eyes and changed my thought process on things.
I have a few goals in mind that I'd like & hope to stick to:
1) Buying clothes at only second hand stores from now on. Not only is it a lot less expensive and guilt-tripping than having to purchase new clothes, I find it far more unique in regards to sense of style.
To be honest, I haven't really made any real clothing purchases, for myself anyway, in about 4 or 5 months. I feel quite proud.
I also cleaned out my entire wardrobe earlier today and made an immensely large pile of clothing I plan to give away this weekend.
2) Making my own shampoo. I've kind of lost interest in chemically damaging my hair from store-bought shit-in-a-bottle; I'd rather save some money and be more organic.
3) Volunteer as much as I possibly can. Earlier I actually signed up as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, Good Will and also a Women's Shelter. I'm hoping I'll get a great experience out of all three, should I (hopefully) be accepted.
..I suppose that's all for now, I'm beginning to feel a bit drowsy.
Over and out SG,
