so anyway...my head was totally stuck in coding heaven earlier today it was fab... and then i realised i had absolutely no one to share it with! lol I do so enjoy totally geeking out but have so few immediate people to rant too now i work from home... so... just for the virtual SG blog...
so, let's see....
enjoying the beautiful logic of writing the code for populating one of 8 linked dropdown lists reading the distinct values of one field in a table being displayed in a grid that's pulled from a sql database through an entity framework via stored procedure objects that would be re-populated every time the drop down selection was changed and the table and all other drop down datasets be repopulated with appropriate options... then copying the code blocks and tweaking variable names to match the different drop downs and watching all the values be accepted ... and all the while working on a remote desktop connection to a server the other side of the country, working through a vpn running on a virtual desktop on my laptop ... sitting in a farmhouse in kent lol ... love it

Went to Scotney Castle the other weekend, some amazing colours, nature really is quite wonderful. I hope all u lovely peeps are able to enjoy some prettyness
Holiday! ... well... not quite, one more day of work ( with far too much to do as usual! ... not to mention that small thing called packing and getting ready!) then a week off. I'm not normally very good at Holidays, silly i know, but i tend to find them too stressful! lol ... but this time i think i'm actually looking forward to it!
sitting in me little hotel room again... watching Matrix Reloaded ... oh and enjoying pretty pictures as well of course lol

so we made it back home to kent in the lil car... was a larf and a half but fuckin cold though!
Cruise past stonehenge, we were making good time! Got to me mates place for the night in time for dinner and wine
Next day we set off for the big city..
roadside repair number one was a bit of bondage around the heater valve that bust, emptying the radiator all over the road...
sadly the bondage failed
one DIY store and a bit of putty later and we were back in business
we did the whole tour round the west end lol came in past harrods after fulham road with chelsea playing at home round hyde park corner and park lane and marble arch. Past the palace and round parliament square
Hopefully we were making people smile lots lol
went through the city... i love the city on a sunday, so beautiful
and most enjoyabel without a roof to obscure the view lol
Out the A2 after tower bridge and finally home So here i sit with a glass of wine and a big grin on me face lol ...
