It has been over one month since I have last posted here, so I figured I'd write something.

My goal to read 100 books by December 31, 2004 is showing promise. In all I've read, cover to cover 23 novels, and still going, but I am running out of books here to read. Maybe it's time for another trek to Powell's Book Store....wait, that has to wait, I don't get a day off until NEXT Sunday.

If anyone knows where I can find a deerstalker hat, other than eBay, please let me know. I want one badly. smile

I have come to the realization that Friendster is a royal waste of my time.

Today was somthing that I should I would never see, especially in the last several years.

Today, my mother and father celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.

It's uncommon now when a marriage lasts 10, or even 5 years, but somehow, someway, my mother and father have managed to do it.

Through the good times, and the bad times, they've still been together, even with a shithead like myself as their only child.

So, to my mother and father, Happy 30th Anniversary! I know if you two can last this long together, you will last a lifetime.

Much love to my family

Some people in the chat tonight wanted to see me poem, that won the Editor's Choice Award, on Poetry.com, so, a little bit reluctant (I am very shy, and don't like to let things like this get to my head), I agreed to post it, so here it is.

The Monster Inside Me

I wake up every morning, in the mirror I see
The freak that I am, the monster inside me.

The things I see, the things I hear,
sometimes makes me think if my end is near.

I think I look like a freak, with an attitude that's bad,
My friends think I am normal, and just really sad.
So, when I wake, in the new morning light,
I still think of myself as one big fright.

In the mirror, the monster I see,
is nothing more than the monster that lives inside of me

The holidays have come and gone,, and I hope you all had yourselves a great one.

Now, onto the first journal entry for me for the year 2004.

Christmas was ok this time around. Got a few things that I needed (not wanted, needed) and a few unwanted things. I will just leave it at that.

New Year's Eve, the snow fell.....I fucking hate walking in the snow. At least I had the comfort of my hotel room at the Holiday Inn, room service, and one night of heavy drinking ahead of me.

I had 27 Jello shots (all made with Everclear), a scotch and soda (made with DeWar's White Label), 5 bottles of Corona, a shot of Jack Daniels, a bottle of Coors Light, and that was all before I went to the hotel LOUNGE!

The only things I remember were winning $15 on video poker (off of $1), and drinking some god awful champagne. Thank god I didn't get sick. (knocks on formica)

New Years Day, took me 4 hours to get from the hotel to home......if you wanna know, you gotta ask...it's kind of interesting.

Soon, I will have more pics (thanks to me new camera phone), but until then, ciao everyone
