I just upgraded to the new version of Ubuntu Linux (32-bit for me). It's still reporting errors every now and then, but at least I can run Bria and Trillian on it, the only two closed-source apps worth paying for IMHO. I still hope I can get them running on my Arch system any day, but they are both linked to lots of libs which makes it a little PITA. -.-
