I really don't post here enough anymore. Lots going on.

Vanessa is nearly two months old and every bit the crazy little stinker her older sister is. Thanks for all the congrats from everybody.

My new comic-type project, Tales of the Living Legends, where I take existing public domain Golden Age stories and give them a little more modern spin is still going strong at my website: Evolution Comics. I'm just about ready to wrap the second story there.

My other comic project, Arc, is actually getting moving and should be up on the web by summer time.

My superhero fiction site, Metahuman Press, is currently looking for new writers! So if you're interested check out the site and its submission guidelines and send me a submission!

I just wrapped the first book of one of my own stories on MHP, Epsilon. It will be on hiatus for a few months while I work on my other two books: Living Legends and Mean Streets. I have another story, Out For Vengeance, that I plan to have up and running by May.

My blog Take The Helm, now focuses almost exclusively on reviewing super-heroes in every form of entertainment, so be sure to check that out if you care about our heroes. Unlike here, it updates 3-5 times a week.

Yeah, I write a lot. Just not here.

Oh, and I'm slowly becoming obsessed with Twitter. I feel I should be ashamed of myself.

All right... happier post.

I spent all the free time I had last week setting up a shop for my website: Metahuman Press. You can now check out cool merchandise at the MHP Store.

I have revised an old goofy pulp story to go up tomorrow on the site for the Christmas holiday. It's a really fun Santa story. Regular scheduled super-powered fiction resumes next weak.

I think I have actually got a decent writing schedule in place for myself, if I can only stop playing EWR. Damn you, Adam Ryland.

And most people here have probably no idea what I'm typing about. Meh. Thanks for reading anyway.

In case anyone is wondering, I completed Nanowrimo successfully. Nearly killed myself in the process as my brain literally hurt by month's end. The terrible case of food poisoning on the 29th and 30th didn't help much either.

Anyone, been dealing with car problems since then. I made the mistake of going to a local car shop by the name of Albert Auto (on Mt. Vernon Road in Cedar Rapids, IA). Paid over $500 for repairs that did nothing to fix the problem I came in for. I've been fighting with them now for the last two weeks over this shit. mad So now my wife and I pretty much had to empty out the savings (and get an incredibly generous gift from my wife's boss) to put a down payment on a 2005 Stratus. At least we have locomotion... even if we don't have any money for holiday gifts. frown Things are tight, and are only going to get tighter when the baby comes in February. But we're tightening up the old pocket book for the next couple months. At least we have solid job security right now.

Anyone feeling amazingly generous, my wishlist has been updated with presents for my family. In the mean time, I'll be using the gift card given by my job to hook up some presents for the loved one. I'm not going to let all this suckiness ruin the holiday for us all.

Thanks to anyone reading this sob story of mine. It feels good just to vent it on the page. Hopefully I'll be back sooner than before with another blog post, and hopefully it will be a much less depressing update.

I'm participating in NaNoWriMo this month, so expect posts even less frequently than I have been.

Thank you for your time.

I still really don't know what to post in this blog... so give me some suggestions folks. What is worth writing about here? I can't even keep my regular blog updated... coming up with something interesting enough for SG seems somewhat far fetched.

Anyway, Heroes rocks on season 3. Been enjoying a massive pile of comics that has been piling up over the last three weeks.

Life is all right. My wife is having a baby girl in February. First name Vanessa, but we still don't have a middle name. Any suggestions?

I'm feeling a little better now. Thanks to anyone asking.

You know what would really cheer me up though right about now? Pancakes. Who doesn't love pancakes?

I am in a slightly better mood than when I last posted. Sad, considering three days ago I turned thirty. But even though it was a less than appreciated milestone in my life, I still couldn't help but enjoy the day with my wife and daughter. We had a nice meal at Red Robin (yeah for bottomless steak fries!) and I got presents. I'm pretty sure when I am eighty, I still won't hate birthdays as long as I get presents. I mean seriously, who doesn't love presents?

Now that my regular internet access is a bit less spotty, hopefully I'll post a little more often. Don't hold me to that though. After all, I still have somewhere around nine months of missed sets to work my way through!
