- I didn't know she was spending the night at the hospital, when I spoke to her yesterday she made it sound like things were fine.
- 2) It's 9:30. I usually call my mom around 10 because ordinarily that's late enough for me to be sure she's home from the hospital/nursing home and can actually take my call and talk for a bit.
Obviously if I knew of the situation I would have called earlier. But as usual when things happen I'm left out of the loop, and then yelled at for not being informed. For most of today I was feeling mopey and nearly home sick, but after this 2 minute convo with my dad I'm so happy to be 400 miles west of his shitheaded attitudes. I do wish I was home for my mom's birthday though. She's taken so much shit these last 5 months, she deserves to have a good day today.
In other news, I am finally getting a new vehicle. No, for real this time. Seriously. OK, so not until December/January, but still. It's certain. Ryan's buying our friend Jon's 97 Pontiac convertable, so as soon as the Buick is fixed up it's mine. I cannot wait. Not only because I've missed not being able to go anywhere, but because I plain old love that car. I love it. The interior is so comfortable and it handles incredibly well (at least when compared to my hellish old 93 Plymouth Voyager), and it's just a lovely looking car.
Other than that life is sortof wavering between bad and ok.
