Today I'm jorunal-bombing everyone from Edmonton and Calgary, trying to call attention to some upcoming events.
First of all, in Edmonton, Aug. 19th-21st, there's SG stuff going on all weekend. Friday afternoon and night (aug 19) is the barbeque and beach party at Heinleindourden's place on the south edge of the city, he's got a private beach on the man-made lake there apparently. Saturday afternoon (aug 20) is going to be either more time at his beach or wandering the Fringe grounds, depending on what people want to do. Saturday night is going to be a night at New City Suburbs, where we'll be hanging out and/or dancing and/or drinking the night away. Sunday (aug 21) noon we'll get brunch somewhere. There are currently 3 threads for this where it'd be great if you'd RSVP as soon as possible. more info can be found in them:
