Hey all! Just got back from Comic Con this past weekend. Some of you probably went. But I just had to share this article that was written about Firefly and Jayne's hat... maybe because my girlfriend makes an appearance in it AS Jayne's hat.

Busy busy busy. Work has been insane. Just finished moving into a new apartment. Still need to finish unpacking things now. Just want to sleep for a week.
Just thought I'd share the girlfriend's and my Halloween costumes.
We didn't really do anything on Halloween just because traffic was insane to go anywhere, but we went to an Amanda Palmer Concert on Saturday (in costume) and then to a Halloween party right afterwards. It was a very looooong night. The girlfriend got drunk and had to deal with a nasty hangover the next morning. Good thing I was there to take care of her.

Wow, it seems like it's been forever since I posted anything. Life has been busy. Work is kicking my ass. We are so understaffed and not hiring any new people. I'm doing the work of 3 people. I get home from work and all I want to do is veg in front of the tv and shut my brain down.
The girlfriend found a "seasonal" job for a photography company that takes individual & team pictures of sports teams. She'll start in a few weeks and work until late October. Then she'll start up again in March. They only do the photo shoots over the weekends, so she still has the week days to find another job. In the meantime, she's been working on her knitting and other crafting and is going to start up an etsy store. I'll post all the info here once she gets it going. She knitted a Cthulu hat that people who see it seem to want one, so that will be the 1st thing she'll put up on the site.
Life in general has been going well. It just needs to slow down a bit so both of us can catch a breather. This weekend will be our 1st one in a loooooong time where we have nothing planned and are going to take it easy.

Hope you all had a great Christmas. I just got back last night from an exhausting weekend of partying with my family. Lots of food, lots of drinks, and lots of games... oh and most important of all, the girlfriend got the official approval from my parents. My mom told me I need to keep her. So things are going REAL well.
This week I'm taking her down to San Diego to watch the Dresden Dolls at the House of Blues. She is soooo excited since it's one of her most favorite bands and is completely obsessed with Amanda Palmer.
Then I'll have her for New Years Eve and the next day I'll be putting her on a plane so she can go have a late Christmas with her family. She'll be gone a whole week. I don't know what I'll do to keep myself occupied while she's gone. You all will probably be seeing a lot of me here during that time.
