Today is the day my mom retires. It is more of a bitter sweet time for her with the death of my dad last year but I am still excited for her. I have to run by her house and drop off our "gift". It is hard to describe her because she is not an uptight lady but she did spend her entire career as a librarian. I jokingly suggested that she take up drinking and reading trashy romance novels so today I will be planting a sixpack of Amstel Light and this book the wife found where a lady wrote a trashy romance novel and then printed it in alphabetical order. So the first page is all a and in the middle there is a two page section of they(and yes the word manhood appears several times). I thought it was a pretty clever find. Librarian humor is hard to come by. She gets to start off her retirement by helping my brother and his wife move/ unpack and spend some time with the latest grand child. It is hard to hide my jealousy. I love cooking and even cooking professionally but I would give my left nut to never have to work for money again.

I have managed to get a summer cold. Grrr. I will be drinking tons of liquid and eating ridiculously spicy things until it is gone. WTF summer colds blow. I probably got it from the youngest, we get sick at the same time a lot and she has been sniffling for a week. Well I should get some stuff done and get off here. Have fun.
