Back tonight from my trip to Mississippi/Arkansas with my eldest daughter. We had a great time. A lot of driving but she was a trooper and good a sign finder and slug bug player. We got to spend the day at the beach in Mississippi.
No waves to speak of, its kind of a bay in the already generally mild mannered gulf. You could walk out forever and only be waist high. We ate at Lambert's I have a pic of that on my phone. She was in awe. We also ate at The Shed in Ocean Springs, great BBQ experience. A must see if you are ever in the area.
Arkansas is farther from Miss. than I remember and with a little help from map quest it was made an hour longer with a wrong turn and a non existent bridge where the road ended at a casino. If my lazy ass had just looked at the map to verify I would have skipped that part all together and taken the highway. That part aside, fun trip. Arkansas is pretty especially down in Walmart country where we were. We had an afternoon to ourselves so we ate some Chinese and saw Alice in Wonderland. Not in 3d unfortunately but a good flick nonetheless. Ms Sun enjoyed it. There was much rejoicing when we stumbled upon the theater. It is a descent spin on the story. I'll probably own it eventually or the girls will I should say. Glad to be home with the rest of the family. The wife is happy we're back we both hate sleeping alone. Peace.
