This is just an update on my dog Scrappy. He seems to be doing pretty good. His appetite is back, and we're back to our usual race around the neighborhood when we go for our walks. He even barks again! He's pretty old--going on 14--so I don't expect he'll ever act like a puppy again, but it's good to have him back to almost normal.

Hamburger doesn't contain all of the nutrients he needs, so I'm going to ask the vet for some vitamins. He'll probably always have the head tilt, but his walking is much better. Dismal day! Sometime last evening my dog Happy Scrappy had a stroke. I rushed him to the vet, and the vet gave him a shot of cortisone to relieve the pressure on his brain plus some meds to ease his anxiety. Poor little pooper wouldn't eat anything till I gave him some chicken soup. He's old, so this isn't a surprise. Like me, he's just...

I'm having dreams about cold, wet, dismal weather. I can't remember the last time it rained and I can't remember the last time I didn't go home while the weather was enough to melt you. Brisbane would be slightly cooler but more humid, I'm sure - being about 1,200 miles North. 
I'm hoping that at some stage those spinning wheels will find some traction. Of course, to do that they have to be on the ground in the first place.
