makes me sad: Prejudice, Purposeful Ignorance
So, I have been building websites using Micro$0ft technologies for about 5 years now. ASP.NET, C#, MSSQL, all that crap. But I am getting ever more tired with the way M$ just keeps churning out bloated, shitty software, particularly Windows. And though there are a lot of innovative things going on with ASP.NET and the .NET Framework, it just seems to be some golden veneer on top of a pile of shit.
I have now moved my primary home computer over to Ubuntu, and I have started fiddling with Ruby on Rails. So far, Ubuntu is slick. RoR is still kinda stumbling in the dark, but I will get there.
Anyone here into Linux or RoR and have some tips for a recovering Windows Web Developer?
