1. How on earth did Laura Palmer find the time to get everything done? Seeing 2 guys at the same time, doing meals on wheels, helping people with their homework, working as a hooker at One-Eyed Jacks, seeing a psychiatrist,
oh, and also keeping that damn diary! Must have been the coke, I suppose.
2. What crazy madman thought up the disturbing Walls microsausages advert? I am now convinced that if I ever unwittingly eat one of them I will turn green, froth at the mouth and die horribly.
3. What idiot sells you a pair of speakers without reminding you that you need speaker cable as well? Hence me sitting here with shiny new speakers but still lacking the ability to unleash my lovely vinyl on my neighbours
4. Whats the best film to watch on Valentines Day?
5. Can I get the soundtrack to Secretary on vinyl?
So this week was supposed to be a quiet one, I did try, but ended up at the pub every second night. Set fire to an oven glove, smashed some milk bottles, otherwise no injuries, hooray.
Last night went to an okay gig at the Concorde 2, some showcase for some unsigned bands, Trent, some members of whom I work with, were headlining. Not my type of thing really, too generic, very good-taste Q-magazine type stuff, shall we say. Still, I had fun, and then went to a great bling-themed fancy dress party at this tacky bar with leopardskin soft furnishings and purple everything else. Danced like a 13-year-old to Toni Basil and Tiffany and drank buckets and buckets of daiquiris.
Bought speakers yesterday, hoorah! But boo because I forgot that I havent got any speaker cable.
Had a phone interview for another job, as a Jnr Financial Advisor, gruelling, it was, but they want to meet me so Thursday 23rd I have to go to Haywards Heath. Fingers Xed as the money is great, and then I can get more tattoos and visit more places.
Oh, and another Five Random Me-Facts:
1. I once won a bronze medal at figure skating. Only 4 people competed in my age group, so its nothing special really.
2. Watching curling makes me happy, in a zen, trance-like way. As do most ice-related sports. Yay tomorrow!
3. I won a fully-signed script for the Usual Suspects on a radio phone-in years ago. Does anyone want it? Ive dragged this thing with me living in about 5 different flats and Im not sure why
4. I needed stiches in my head when I was seven, as I fell off the washing line and onto our back step. I was trying to be a trapeze artiste. My mother made me lie on the sofa with blood trickling out of my head, while the family sat down to Sunday lunch (beef stew and dumplings) before driving me to the hospital.
5. I would be listening to Roxy Musics first album right now if I had speaker cable. But I dont, so its Shockheaded Peter soundtrack on CD on the DVD player instead.
No new pics today, it was raining and therefore too gloomy.
Oh, and I really need to go to London, as theyve got a Martin Kippenburger exhibition at Tate Modern, and a Gothic Nightmares exhibition, and Nights at the Circus (based on the Angela Carter) is on at the Lyric Hammersmith. So I need a new job.
So goodbye for a while again. Hmmm although I may put up a new pic on Tuesday. Requests?
Kisses to you all,
Maybe some pics later on
Seriously need to get into job search now. From April 1st I'll be officially unemployed. What a good time I had on 'Gardening Leave'
How does it look like at your job front?
Thanx for the birthday wishes hun Hope you had a great weekend? I had a nice quiet one, ready for a chaotic one next weekend
Take care
