most humbling moment: meeting the Taliban at an Islamic madrasa in Pakistan and knowing that my bloody head could be on CNN the next morning and there was nothing I could do about it.
fantasy: Wishing that MISSY would apologize for her flippant treatment of my photographic work and at least send me a freakin' t-shirt or something!
into: Global economic paradigms, Faustian bargains, Drop-dead gorgeous women, automatic weapons with or without sound suppression, the smile on a dog, Pizza, mi vida loca, Travel, using Barnes and Noble as a library, photographing nude girls, photographing clothed girls in the hopes that they will get nude, giving a Third World child a dollar in the streets and seeing the joy leap from their eyes, Drop-dead gorgeous women ad infinitum, Arcane literature, knowing that as I get older- I get hotter ;)
I have been photographing women for over 15 years in many of their most intimate expressions. The beauty of woman has held a magic and power that has both razed and resurrected civilizations. I am at once, fascinated and humbled by her. I hope to continue my exploration of beauty via working with many women of many faces and many more stories which captivate and enchant humankind with grace, sensuality, prowess and intrepid rawness. I am seeking to rework my portfolio and am interested in exchanging test photos with a few models. I need some very specific looks for some project ideas currently in process... Ask me for details!
I produce high quality model portfolios for the professional and the first-timer looking to get a foot in the business. All images are created digitally and delivered via CD and/or online. I also work commercially and can arrange settings and scenarios designed to satisfy a variety of needs for the client. I believe in a symbiotic relationship with the model, makeup artist, stylist and setting. I am easy to work with as I have a wealth of experience to compliment each session. I simply have a passion for connection and delight in working with others. I want to create a statement, expression, story of artistic value together with those I am working with. I have worked also as a freelance photojournalist and combat photographer for the decade. Documenting the plight of the peoples of war-torn cities and villages across the world.
Sharing glimpses of the greatest depths of sorrow and the most illuminating smiles of hope, often at once. My greatest passion is being with others who have stories to share and sharing mine with them. That is a sacred communion which makes being human, holy.
I have learned more about myself from the street children in Afghanistan and Guatemala...
