I went to the Spokane Tattoo Convention back on May 4-6th, and had a great time. I got to meet a few of the Portland Suicide Girls in person, and took a bunch of pictures. Who could ask for more. I finally put some pictures up here so the girls could see them. I put them on my website last week, with a bunch more so if you are into tattoo conventions check them out. They are in a free gallery on www.bodyimagephoto.com.

I've been shooting quite a bit this year. I finally started shooting in my garage that has WAY more room than my rec-room. I'm converting the garage into a full time photo studio, but still have a long ways to go. Right now it's pretty ugly inside, but at least its dry since I put an entire new roof on it in the fall. Now I'm hoping to find time for insulation and drywall and paint. The inside was only half finished by the previous owner, and it was used as a car shop, so its pretty dirty too.
I uploaded some new photos today, check them out. Studio shots were done in the garage; outdoor shots were at People's Park along the Spokane River last Sunday, just a few minutes outside of downtown.

What do you know... I finally got off my lazy butt and put some pictures up on here. I've been focusing on taking Artistic Nude photos for the last 5 years. I just put a quick sampling of some of my favorites in an album. Check them out!
Finally added a picture of myself. As many photographers, I'm not as comfortable in front of the camera as I am behind it. But I did manage to have one shot of me taken during the Oregon Country Fair in '05. This was my latest religious experience. I find the fair to be a very spiritual experience.
I'm the one bending over...

Well, it's been a couple years since I updated my journal. It just took me half an hour to figure out how to make a new entry instead of just commenting to an old one.
I'm back in Spokane now. I grew up here, but left after college. It's been 13 years or so since I lived here. My wife and I have a daughter now. I have a bunch of family here, so I thought it would be nice to raise my daughter near more family. Plus, the cost of living should be cheaper than living near Seattle. We really liked Poulsbo, and it is cheaper than being directly in Seattle, but without our nice tech jobs it was getting too hard to afford it.
We'll see how Spokane treats us...
We went to a meeting for the local RenFair today. My wife is going to be one of the actors, and I'm going to be their photographer. Should be a fun summer.

What a week. My wife's Grandfather passed away last Tuesday night. His health had rapidly gone downhill for the last few months, so it wasn't unexpected, but it's still a shock when it finally happens. He lived about an hour away in Tacoma, so we went down on Thursday to comfort his girlfriend and wait for Tristana's mother to arrive from Hawaii. We helped make the funeral arrangements. I actually picked the casket. They had one named "The Arlington". He originally was going to be buried in Arlington since he is a retired Colonel. We decided to have him closer to home so were going to the Tahoma National Cemetery instead. So now he will be buried in Arlington at Tahoma.
He will still be having a military ceremony with full military honors, the gun salut, the flag draped over the casket, etc. It should be quite a sight.
So I'm home for a couple days then going back to Grampa's for the rest of the week for the funeral and to help go through all his belongings. At least when I get back the carpets will have been cleaned so I don't have to stare at the blood stain in the 'living' room where he died. I tried to clean it 'cause it was creeping me out, but I didn't have any cleaners strong enough. My wife and I are sleeping in his king sized bed where her grandmother died 20 years ago, so that's a little creepy as well.

I'm going to see the Matrix sequel tonight.
Exciting! My wife and friends are coming home from work early so we have time to stop for dinner and then wait in line to get good seats.
My website was down earlier this week. Really sucked. I didn't know what had happened. Turns out my domain expired and I didn't get any notices since they had the wrong email address. They put a hold on my domain for a couple days, but its back now. I'm still trying to find the time to redesign my site... I've been working on it in Adobe GoLive, but since I don't know the program well, I'm trying to learn at the same time. I hope to have it all new and improved in a couple weeks. Then I can get back to taking pictures.

I thought I better record the momentous occasion of joining SG with a journal entry. Yeah.
I'm still looking around and getting to know the girls. Looks like a nice place to visit.
