Apparently crack's back in vogue with Lewiston's old gaurd again. Its heartbreaking and incredibly frustrating. These are people who used watch my back when I was the only punk at Lewiston Jr. High. Some (admittedly not all) of these people are absolutely brilliant and increibly talented. I'll never understand how someone's self esteem can be so fucked that the idea of smoking that shit can...

Ugh. I had a long entry about Fridays resolution to my paycheck problems. Suffice to say that the liberal organization for which I used to work proved itself to be a grotesque stereotype of the party by sitting on their ass and ignoring a problem that could have easily been solved if on Nov. 3rd, someone had called me or my manager and asked what...

Thanks for the compliments on the tattoo, folks. Its healed quite nicely with no loss of color. The only scab fell off today, without any apparent damage to the ink.

I'm pissed at my former employers, as my last paycheck is more than a month overdue now. mad I was told that the check was cut wednesday and was in the mail, but its been a...

I'm The Peter Venkman of This Operation, Bitches.
I've graduated from college, but in order to get my degree, I still have to complete an internship. With that in mind, I went into the school yesterday to speak to the woman in charge of the internship program. As usually seems to be the case with her, she wasn't there. However, as I was stepping out...

I finally got off my ass and scheduled an appointment with Wilhelm at Sanctuary Tattoo in Portland (ME), for tuesday, November 30th.

Yet another change of pace with my crazy-ass jobby-job.
I've been moved onto salary for the last two weeks, effectively tripling the amount of pay I would get, but in exchange, there is no limit on the hours I can work. I still have this friday and saturday for Social Distortion, and i managed to convince my boss to let me off at 9pm tomorrow...

So does that mean you're finally coming out here so we can make official doppleganger comparisons?

Couple quick things before I leave to beat this dead horse. The Killer is one of my favorite all time movies. Bam and WIldboyz (on dvd this tuesday) are probably the things that keep me going week to week when it gets tough. I'm serious... Bam is the guy...

Even though that's black as sin, I saw it when I was running a game in another window and it makes everything light as hell.

The dating profile thing just isn't appealing to me. If someone is interested in meeting me through this site, I'd much rather it be because of my posts than because my dating profile says I am a single non-smoker looking for booty.
all0nblack:
Yeah I'm not too find of the dating profile myself. It's almost gotten too easy to get ass on the internet... But anyways.

No luck on the jobby job yet. I applied to do graveyard stocking at Target through the holidays. What's really rlame is that I opted to not go to school this term to work full time and save some dough for the coming school year... Looks like my plan backfired. Things will work out fine but, timing just sucks sometimes.

The aging hippie guy who volunteers with us went into a diabetic coma in the breakroom this evening. I had to help move him out of his chair and onto the floor. His body was stiff, eyes were wide open, but he was snoring. I guess he's alright now, but fuck, that was creepy. It didn't make an already stressful job any easier.
all0nblack:
That's tough shit right there.

I used to work emergency dispatch for the campus police at our university here in Portland. The worst thing I s physically saw was a guy come into our office and clutch his chest, and just pass out half dead from a heart attack. I didn't freak out or anything and took it in stride but it's really hard to watch other people in pain.

For example, when I'm driving by a car wreck and see that people are obviously hurt, I look away. I think putting things like that on public display are just brutal. Death and pain are such personal things ya know? Watching someone you don't know or care about die, by choice, seems incredibly invasive. I mean for fucks sake... We didn't have strangers off the street in the delivery room when we were born did we? It's private. People should be allowed to pass with some dignity. Not with a bunch of 12 year old girls "ewwwing" you as your breathing your last breathe on 81st and Burnisde... So criminal.

So, how's the job been going otherwise? Tough as nails I presume.

...Later That Evening.

Okay, as I mentioned in my earlier post, I picked up the new Social Distortion album on my way to work. I first heard a new album was in the works through a friend in a band that had opened for Mike Ness, sometime back in '98 or 2000. Denis Darnell's death understandably set the band back a bit. The band has...

I saw the vinyl at Hot Topic yesterday but there's no fucking way I'll buy anything there unless it's both on clearance, and something from Lucky 13.

I was just mentioning in someone else's journal that I can't go see Social D anymore. Not since Dennis died. I was a wreck when he went ya know? Social D has meant so much to me growing up. Social D and the Clash were my first punk bands. They hit the mark dead center.

Mike's always been my biggest rock and role model. Horrible play on words... But he has.

I have a chance to go see the tour this go round but I don't even know if I will. I am such an emotional bastard when it comes to Social D.... I'm conflicted.

I'd like to go just to spend time with the boys, have a good night, etc.. Who knows.
all0nblack:
Still too broke to buy the new record.... I'm good like that.

New Social Distortion out today. I'm picking it up before work.
The jobs been going well, I suppose. The person I was promoted to replace has returned, but they're keeping me on for the time being because its a huge job and I'm pretty good at it. It's been a misadventure a day for me around there, which I love. Makes for good stories.
