I fucking hate this unemployment malarky. I get 40odd quid a week to get by on from the Dole people. It costs me 32 for a hair cut, and I haven't had it cut since November. Considering it was really short on one side and long on the other, now that it's grown in it looks like I have the worlds wonkiest bob. It looks like I divided my hair into 4 sections, gave each of my four nephews a pair of scissors and told them to go wild. So, since a haircut costs 32ish, that would be a week's worth of money to get my hait cut. Fail.
I also want to apply for the RSAMD, but it costs 35 to apply, and deadlines are 31st March. Again, a week's worth of money. Grrr!
On top of that, my laptop is so brain crushingly slow and broken, I had resorted to the old PC in the end room for job searching as it is faster than the laptop, but now it's deciding not to switch on. Joyous. So I will turn up to sign on on friday with little effort to job searching and they will probably not pay me. Bastards.
On that note, NONE of the jobs I have applied to have got back to me, at all. cunts. Two that I phoned to get emailed applications for on the closing date (I only found out about them on closing dates) failed to email the applications, so that was three positions (two with council, one with another company) that I wasn't even able to apply for. It's a total joke, and completely demotivating. *sigh*
Ok, onto happier things I guess. Saturday was, on course, Valentines Day. Now, I believe that you shouldn't rely on the same day of the year to celebrate your love for someone, but that shouldn't mean you can't celebrate the day itself. It's like, why wait til christmas to get a present for someone? But then why not celebrate christmas just because you buy things you like for people on other days of the year? Anyway, me and Tim stayed at mine, I made Lamb Rogan Josh and plain naan bread for him for dinner, and we each got each other collage photo frame things coincidentally, and I made him the biggest, cheesiest, glitteriest card EVER! Basically, the card I made him last year was too cool for school, so I went in the opposite direction this year and made it as sickening as possible. It was immense. It was also the day we got to celebrate our 1 year anniversary, which was the previous monday, so it was a good day.
So, I have decided I'm going to give Slimming World another go. I went for 2 weeks but it wasn't the right time for me to join - I had so much stuff on and it was right before Christmas, so I wasn't losing any weight which was demotivating. I'm going to start going with my sister next week. She's just had her third baby and wants to get rid of the weight, and next week will be her 6 week post natal checkup, so if she passes that we'll start going. I joined the gym the same week mum had her heart attack and I want to start going but I just cant afford it. I got a form that allows you membership cheaper, but it's too much so it'll have to wait until I get a job, or I'll have to pay for sessions individually.
Anyway, I have chuntered on enough for now, just in a rambley mood I guess.
xx

JSA and IS are a farce, considering how much utilities alone cost these days. Not freezing to death is hardly a luxury, grr
