Movies i saw this weekend.
Hello you faithful couple that read my movie blogs. This weekend was my girlfriends weekend and we went and saw Sorcerer's apprentice and the new Cats and Dogs movie.
Sorcerer's Apprentice: 7 of 10, Nicolas Cage has finally made a good movie, those are the words i was thinking when i left the theater after watching Apprentice.
Synopsis:Nicolas cage is the sorcerer Balthazar Blake. He is charged with finding the Prime Merlinian and keep the evil Morgana trapped in the Grimhold and stop her from enslaving mankind. A kid named David Stutler comes into Balthazar's store and is discovered that he may be Merlin's replacement. CUE BAD GUY!!!! Horvath ex-Merlin apprentice turned evil. Horvath and Balthazar fight and both get trapped for 10 years in a huge urn. When the 2 sorcerers escape from their prison they both go in search of the Grimhold and David.
Special effects: Disney out does itself again. The magic and special effects are amazing and creative. If you don't like the plot the movie is worth seeing just because of the cool shit the sorcerers do.
My Opinion: The Apprentice was a great movie with an interesting plot and excellent special effects. I recommend it for anyone with interest in magic.
Cats and Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore: 6 of 10 for adults 8 of 10 for kids.
Synopsis: Kitty Galore is an enraged hairless cat that wants revenge on humans who have wronged her. In this second installment of the Cats and Dogs movies we find out that not all cats are evil and they have their own organization to protect mankind. So the cats and dogs join up to save Kitty's plan to make all dogs go rabid.
My opinion: I went and saw this movie because my GF loves animals and it was her birthday. I hate to say but its not as good as the first one. However if you have children they will love it especially little girls who love cats. If your an adult it might even bring back the kid in you.

Went to the movies with my GF last night. We paid to see "Inception" and then went into the "Predators" movie.
Inception: The cast was excellent in this movie, DiCaprio has definitely come a long way from Titanic and the Beach. The plot was amazing with twiats and turns that you will never expect. This movie is for everyone from the action junkie to the crime/heist junkie. I give fair warning now go to the bathroom before the movie because if you leave in the middle of the movie you will miss something. I give this movie a 9 out of 10
Predators: The Predator movies have been done through out the years with mixed results. The Predators movie is set on a distant planet where humans are kidnapped and brought to a hunting preserve as game for the infamous Predator race. The cast is comprised of good actors that handle themselves good in combat situations. Now I hope not to upset anybody but i have to be honest, The United States does not use women in combat arms but all these Hollywood movies like to put them in the fray. Now that i said that, Alice Braga did a very good job playing her part. She didn't try and act to bad ass and seemed to do her research on how to move around in a combat situation. Adrien Brody also did a fine job as the leading man, beside his gruff voice change. The Predators are split into 2 races that have been fighting a feud for an unspoken time. Unlike so many other movies with the predators they are not invisible the entire film. I give this movie a 7 out of 10.

Well just watched the world cup final...i have to admit it was very interesting. However, I am an American football kind of guy and don't understand when one player slightly touches another and they both fall down and start acting like they just broke each others legs. Maybe someone can let me know....and i am going to add that i am not insulting soccer(Futball). i just want to know.
