Well, it was supposed to be a fun night. May 30, Jackyl, an early 90s band out of Gerogia was playing at the Back Alley here in Calgary Alberta, and I was going to the show! In the afternoon of the 30th, I got a call saying that I was needed at work that evening, to cover for someone who is sick!! NOOOOOO, I said I couldn't, I had plans. Well, I was then told that I had to be at work at 11:30pm, instead of 7pm.

So, off to the show I go, caught most of the opening act, and Jackyl started playing around 11:05 or something like that. 11:30 rolled around, and I called in to work to try and extend my stay at the show. I got till 12:20, so that was better, 45 more minutes of Jackyl! I drive a real fast Trans-Am, so, getting to work only took about 5 minutes.

Jackyl was awsome, Played songs like Down on Me, Dirty Little Mind, which was the last song that I heard before booking it out of there to get to work. I did buy a t-shirt at the merch table on the way out.

By the time I got to work, I was in a real shitty mood, having left an awsome show, on my day off, to go to work for a few hours. That totally blew!! A short while after I got to work, the phone rang, and the voice on the other end said, "Chris, I heard that you were here and had to leave. I just wanted to say thanks for coming out, and thanks for the support" It was Jesse James, the singer of Jackyl! He took time out to give me a call, cause my friends told the band how pissed off I was for having to leave. Dude, that made me happy!! It was awsome that he did that.

Well, not 20 minutes later, a knock at my office door! I answer the door, and there is Jesse James standing there, "Hi Chris" just like he knew me for 10 years! Wow .. how stocked was I!! This celebrity takes time out of his night, to come and hang with me for an hour! How kewl is that!! Thats a guy who cares for his fans!!

Jesse James, I thank you!! You made my day!
