Ok I have updates on the news from yesterday, for those who have no idea what I'm talking about, here's yesterdays post:

So soon after I wrote the post above, the gunman gave up and released everybody unharmed, no violence whatsoever.

It turns out the guy knew that his wife had an affair with somebody at the call center, upset and bat shit crazy he held about 30 people, including several of my friends, hostage for about 7 hours. The wife and his mother managed to talk him down for the positive result.

I can't help but think how I would have reacted seeing that if I was still working there I would have been part of the hostages.

Ok, a guy with a gun and claiming he had C4 explosives just held hostage the floor where I used to work at, on a Monday afternoon.

I don't know details because getting up to the minute news in Guatemala sucks ass, but apparently this guy had serious issues with his wife who works as a supervisor in the call center, so he got in and had a semi shoot out with the security guards (wounding one of them) then barricading himself with 30 other people in the floor. After a few hours he demanded food and a laptop (wtf???). I could not find any new news about this anywhere, but after some friend blog research I think the ordeal is over and nothing happened to the staff. As for the gunman I have no idea what happened with him.
